Recently, “Dimensions of Civilization——China-Italy Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition” and “Academic Exchange Program of Italy-China Year of Culture and Tourism”, organized by Chongqing Federation of Literature and Art Circles and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, was officially launched in the Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
The Exhibition is consisting of three sections, respectively “Italian Contemporary Art and Artists on the Silk Road”, “The Return of Spring: China-Italy Contemporary Art Exhibition”, and “Continuity and Echo: Public Education Week of China-Italy Contemporary Art”.

According to the organizer, the “Italian Contemporary Art and Artists on the Silk Road” was launched in 2019. The exhibition features over 30 works, including paintings, sculptures, videos and more, representing Italian contemporary artworks like POOR ART, SUPER AVANT-GARDE and etc. The exhibition highlights new developments of Italian art since the 1960s.
In Chongqing, two new events have been added to the program: "The Return of Spring: China-Italy Contemporary Art Exhibition" and "Continuity and Echo: Public Education Week of China-Italy Contemporary Art". Thereinto, in "Continuity and Echo", public education workshops will be held on weekends, in the meanwhile art historians and cultural scholars from both countries, who jointly promote the communication of the contemporary art and will contribute to public aesthetic education, will be invited to join the series aesthetic public classes.
To increase public participation, the Art Museum is providing the bilingual guide services in Chinese and English to help audiences better understand the exhibition information by both online and offline means. It is reported that the whole exhibition lasts for one month until May 26, 2023.
